So... I went to a wedding and decided to go VERY Peachy!!

I used Barry M's Peach Melba..

I think it went really well with my peachy outfit :)

From Clinique to ProActiv.. 3 weeks later..

So... Proactiv did NOT work out well for me!!

I should have known really as I have sensitive skin and I get random rashes sometimes where my face goes red..

This rash came back from using Proactiv :( I think it dried my skin out too much. I had to buy my anti redness clinique face cream again!!

I'm still using the face cleanser and toner but not the cream. HOWEVER.. I still have spots!!!

DO NOT USE PROACTIVE IF YOU ARE PRONE TO RASHES/ALLERGIES/DRY SKIN/HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN!! well.. you can try it.. but i'm just gonna have to ask for a refund and go back to Clinique!

Didnt get rid of my spots either!! :\

OK, so Katy Perry and Gabriella from Made in Chelsea apparently benefit from using ProActiv, but does it really work??

For years I have always been a Clinique girl. I've never had naturally clear skin but it's never been too bad. Being a perfectionist means I need PERFECT skin!!

Clinique's anti-blemish skin care has worked for me for a long time, however, recently my skin has been breaking out. Wierdly in the same places - the RIGHT side of my face on my cheek and a few on my forehead.. Wierd.

So.. my skin care regime until now is:

Clinique's anti-blemish soap for face and body
Dermalogica daily microfoliant (LOVE this)
Clinique anti-blemish clarifying lotion
Clinique face creams - I mix these up
Clinique take the day off make up remover
Clinique 7 Day scrub cream
Soap and Glory face mask (this is amazing)

I also throw a few other things in the mix from time to time, but generally the above is routine.

So.. I've decided to swap all this for Proactiv

It includes a cleanser, toner, day cream night cream and a face mask.

1st night:

Cleanser: I was surprised that this cleanser is actually exfoliating. Its like a scrub. Seems a little harsh for your skin twice a day, but I guess you need to dry out your skin to get rid of spots!! It smelt nice and you dont need to use much of it. BE CAREFUL THOUGH.. I got some in my eye; that STUNG!! lol

Toner: This was like a normal toner, just wipe on with cotton wool.

Repairing night lotion: This did not feel moisturising!! I'm getting a bit worried that this skin care regime is gonna really really dry out my skin!! This smelt nice too though.

I'm gonna give it two weeks and see if I notice a difference in my skin's appearance!!

NOTW: Barry M Magnetic nails; mixing the colours!

So.. this week I wanted to see if I put one magnetic colour on top of the other then used the magnet, if it would make the bottom colour show up.

It doesn't lol

I put the red below then the blue on top and only the blue showed :( ah well.

I had a play about anyway!!

Used 3 different magnets and two different colours! :)

NOTW: Barry M Chameleon - Pink

LOL I am sooo late with this post! I bought these polishes when they first came out. BUT Ive been SOO busy, I havent had time to experiment!!

So, anyway, last week, I tried the purple one and it was a complete disaster! So much so that I didn't even take a picture lol!

I do nail art so I was surprised at how hard it was to do! I think the problem is that the clear nail polish brush is big, whereas I'm used to using stripers..

BARRY M - bring out a clear nail polish striper/nail pen!!

So, I just ended up going over the whole nail with the clear!!!

Anyway, this week, I tried the pink one and decided to do something REALLY simple!!

That's the colour I used. This is how it came out, even though the picture is'nt great! It isn't as bright as this, but I really like the colour on it's own.

I did tips with the clear:

MY NAILS ARE STILL SHORT!! lol
Again this picture isn't too clear, this one's a bit better:

(I said a BIT lol)

So yea, all in all, I really like the effect, however, if the colour change doesn't work anywhere, if you go over it it wont work. It did make me just think - I could have done this with a different coloured nail polish!!!

Ill try a different design next week, need to have a think!!!

Bar Salsa Outfit - from BooHoo.com

So tonight i'm going to Par-tayyy at Bar Salsa in Central London :)

My outfit HAD to be BRIGHT!!
So I chose this one from BooHoo

I luuuurrve the pattern - mix of leopard print and flowery-ness :) girly but sexy at the same time!!

and I LOVE the colours too!!

I went for black patent heels, a black waist belt and black bag (wear these all the time). With some gold going through the outfit.

The earrings (big heart drops) are from BooHoo too! They are quite big but as my dress is strapless it's fine.

I've also got a couple of bright coloured bracelets - one a shamballa and one with a bit of gold in it.

I think it will go well with my salsa moves! :)

NOTW: Brights and Barry M Croc Effects - DISSAPOINTED! :(

So.. I'm going to Bar Salsa tomorrow night, so thought I'd do some bright colours on my nails to match a bright dress i'm wearing..

I started with Pink and Orange -

(I cut my nails!!)

I used Barry M's retro pink and Rimmel's Coral Romance colours..

I however thought they looked a bit bright so thought i'd tone it down with Barry M's croc effect nail paint.

BIG MISTAKE!!

It toned it down TOO MUCH!!

And I dont like that the patterns look different!

I much prefer the first crackle effect that Barry M brought out - you could see the below colour more.

I think i'm either going to have to do them again, or go over them in my first colours to see what happens..

Don't think i'll be using the croc again. :(

Lol NAIL OF THE WEEK!

I really should have started this blog a VERY long while ago! Better late than never..

My nails this week...

I used Barry M's metalic nail paints - the purple and the blue..
I used 3 magnets to get the 3 different patterns on my nails..
In my opinion, I think the slanty stripes look best - but they all give a good effect. :)

I love them! It didn't take me long at all either :)

Barry M CRAZY!

I've always loved nail polishes.. and have LOADS.. but in recent years I don't think I've bought anything except for Barry M nail polishes!

I LOVE THEIR STUFF!

My Barry M collection to date..

I fell in love with their crackle nail polishes and now they've brought out 

MAGNETIC NAIL PAINT and 

CHAMELEON COLOUR CHANGE NAIL PAINT!!

I love love LOVE the magnetic ones..
these are the ones I've got..

..and here's what you can do!

I used two different magnets for the different patterns..

It's so simple, you just paint on the polish then hold the magnet over the nail for a few seconds.. then like MAGIC the pattern appears :)

The only issue is that the pattern may not cover the whole nail if you have really long/wide nails.. but WHO CARES!! lol this completely saves going to the nail shop!!

AND NOW.. Barry M have brought out the CHAMELEON COLOUR CHANGE NAIL PAINT!

I bought these two today!

Havent tried them yet, but i'm so excited to try them out!! :)
